Oh I think that the majority of believers await the second coming of the Lord but with quiet anticipation rather than leaping and hopping around.

You seem to be getting confused between a number of different issues in the way you word your question
1. Is there a supreme being or God
2. Is the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, that is pf Jesus simultaneously being God AND the son of God AND the Holy spirit believeable and rational, and
3. Is there a life after death.
I happen to believe in 1 and 3 but think the idea that somebody can be a Father and Son and a Spirit all at the same time is so ridiculous as to be laughable.
Even some well respected Christian organisations such as the Unitarian Church reject that theory, so do the trillions of people of other Faiths (Islam, Judaism, Brahmanism etc.) all over the world who believe in a God and in some cases accept Jesus Christ as a Great prophet.

God the father of Jesus, God is Jesus they are one, as is the Holy Spirit.
When the clouds part and the skys rumble and the ''trumpet'' sounds, we will all know about it, we could be anywhere, in the park, shopping, asleep, at work etc ...and we will have have to give an account of our lives, those who never believed or accepted Jesus into their lives whether they understood everything about Him or not (as not everyone does but they still accept him), Jesus says he 'will not know you'' and therefore you will spend eternity in the lake of fire, regardless of your pleading with Him on the day - this litereral lake of fire, of constant torment begging and pleading will be a one way trip, but every tongue shall confess ' Jesus is Lord'' in both heaven and hell.

I believe with my hole hart that he will return, and yes believing gave me more joy, joy that I never felt. I look back at my life and still so shock were i was and were i am today. It can only be his Grace and Love that could do this. People dont see miracles anymore, because they just dont believe. People try to find joy in cars, money ect. until they realize how unhappy they are, then they will realize you have nothing. God give us joy and so much more, only once you have lost something can you start to appreciate it.

Will you know Him when He does return? Or more important will He know you, as many false Christ will arise. But as the sun shines from the east to the west so also shall be the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am joyful at my own achievements.
I am joyful at the beauty of my garden.
I am joyful at the pleasure my family give me.
I am joyful of the music I hear and play.
I am proud that I have achieved things.
I am proud that I have made my garden beautiful
I am proud that I have made my family what it is.
I am proud that I can create music.
I have done these things. Every day I am overwhelmed with pride at some point.
Of course you will say God lets me achieve things and God made my garden beautiful and God gave me my family and God lets me hear music.
The age old (non)answer.
But he didn't. I did. Everyman should be his own God. Why do you need to believe God gave you these things? Don't you think you are worthy of creating things yourself? I am completely self contained - I don't need God. I take pride in myself alone, I don't have anyone stood behind me taking the credit. I did it.

If you look at people, abstract ideas, and archetypes as levels and types of consciousness it allows you to believe in all things. It also explains some of the answers on this site.

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.
How terrible the bible in particular is:

Did Jesus really exist?

How silly and horrible religion in general is:

And people have been predicting the end times for at least 4000 years
