I just got into a heated argument with my brother on the phone & he's so mentally abusive that he called me stupid & said I deserved to be crucified. I have OCD, & my unwanted thoughts are outrageous right now. I can't go to sleep because I'm afraid I might have nightmares of being crucified.
He told me this because we had a discussion about me visiting the late singer AALIYAH's resting place, & there were plenty of other fans there. He told me I made a fool out of myself, I'm stupid, & that I need to be crucified. He also tries to discourage me from my academic success by calling me stupid for trying to go to school. Every place I try to move to go to school for my career, he calls me stupid, just so he can have me live with him so he can torture the hell out of me. I'm 23 & he's 27.

So sorry to hear your brother is doing this to you. In most cases like this it usally comes down to the offender being jealous. Maybe your brother envie's you and is jealous that you are really making an effort to further your education and have better things in life. You are following your dreams, it's just his way of coping with. Although it's not right for him to treat u this way, it may be the only way he know's how. Keep doing what u r doing no matter what he say's or what kind of names he calls you, u are doing a great thing and I commend u for hit. Best wishes. :)

First of all... brothers will be brothers (smile) You are not stupid. He may be jealous that you being 23 are doing better than he is at the age of 27. He may think that you will get an education and be better than him. YOU will simply be more educated. Dont ever let ANYONE discourage you on furthering your education. Congrats to you. He is only trying to scare you thats all. He knows what you are afraid of.. He know how to push your buttons better than anyone else and only you allow him to do so. By ignoring his rude and clarelss remarks.. will really make him wonder whay its not effecting you anymore and will try to bring you down in another way. You will not be crucified by visiting anothers grave. There is nothing wrong with paying respect to a favorite singer of yours. Milions do this. He is mentally abusive because you let him get to you. You need to learn to block out his negative comments let them go in one ear and out the other. he is simply embarasses that his baby sister is passing him up and will probably be way more sucessful than he ever will be with that attitude. He is saposed to be supportive and if he is not going to be because of jealousy.. tell him that you love him.. but you no longer need his negativity in your life and that he is welcomed to come and talk to you when he has more respect for you. make sure you know that he is just talking smack... it total nonsense... in one ear and out the other girl! Dont even let him see you frown.. jsut smile and be super nice to him anyway and this alone wil drive him insane and will get tired of messing with you once he figures out that you will no longer tollerate his crap. You GO HEAD GIRL WITH YOUR BAD SELF GO GET YOUR EDUCATION!!

hes your brother. out of everyone, he may be the one that lived the most with you and then most definitely does not mean what he says.
if you deserved what he said, then it would have occurred already. you wouldn't be waiting for it. So that's not coming. So relax. Watch some comedy tv. Read a book. Relaxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well, sweetness, you try to remember this...the Lord says we are not to judge each other, and to love each other and love our enemies...so try to practice that which makes God and Jesus happy, and don't worry about your brother...and as far as the OCD is concerned, I hope you are taking something like Luvox for it, which should help..but remember, all things are made better when we follow what our Father in Heaven tells us to do....and you're not stupid, fighting over Aaliyah's resting place, is just silly...you have your life, and he has his...witness to him, and let him know you are not going to fight, because you want to make the Lord happy...God Bless

Sometimes you need to completely disown a toxic person in your life, like I had to do with several people. You can't grow spiritually if they constantly drag you down. You need peace in your life like I now have.

Don't think about your brother and his silly controlling comments.
Instead think about a place you love to go.
Visualize yourself there, if its at a beach. Hear the water roar, feel the wind on your face. smell the fresh air.
listen to the children laugh.
Everything is peace full and calm.
