Not sure exactly what you want so will just do a very basic but inclusive answer.

The major salivary glands, which are located in the mouth, are the parotid, submandibular, and sublingual glands. There are two of each of these. Of course, there are also smaller salivary glands.

When you feel enlarged glands under your chin/jaw these are the submandibular and sublingual. If you feel enlarged glands in front of your ears, those are the parotid.

The most common cause of swollen salivary glands is mumps which gives what is known as the "chipmunk appearance".

Other causes of swollen salivary glands include:
tumors, the majority are benign
Sjogren's syndrome
sialoadenitis, inflammation of the salivary glands, bacterial or viral

Many, many diseases can affect the salivary glands.
