The nationwide legalization of same sex marriage would make me happy!

gay marriage doesn't affect anyone but the couple the family and any future children they may or may not have. Maybe it would lower the divorce rate.
And for those homophobs on here has it ever occured to you that gays are heterophobic?
Plus for the person who said something about PDA. Why should gays have to not show affection in public when I have seen plenty of hetrosexual couples making out or basically having sex in public places. Come on

It would affect everyone regardless of whether or not they're gay. Can you imagine the amount of money that it would save the Govt? People would be covered under their spouses medical & dental coverage. Hospitals would be paid so therefore they wouldn't have to charge as much & we'd all win. That's just one example. How can these people answering say "I'm not gay so it wouldn't affect me? Isn't that kind of like saying "Well, I don't have kids in school so it wouldn't affect me if a kid brought a gun to school"?

It's not going to affect me or any one here whining about it. Regardless to what you might think, you can't "catch" gay... so if you or your family are around a happily married same-sex couple, you are in no way at risk of "contracting" it. They are also not the pedophile perverts people fear, so they're not going to push it on you or your children. Also, I am not personally affected by hetero couples who choose not to bear children, so I will in no way be affected by a same-sex couple who does not reproduce. You cannot refuse to "let" someone be gay. It's like trying to edit someone's internal though process.. it doesn't happen.

Gay marriage wouldn't affect me. I believe in the Lord and the bible, but as many things as there is in the bible that prohibit gay marriage... there are just as many to accept gay marriage. I don't believe a gay person has a choice. Just like a person that has cancer has choice. I am not saying that being gay is a disease, but I do believe it is a chemical imbalance that can't be helped or treated.

Not in any way other then that it would mean that another group of people would enjoy equality and this would affect me by giving me hope that our future may have a time when everyone can live as equals instead of as labels.

I am not gay, so the question does not apply to me or any other straight person. We straights really need to mind our own business and let other people roll the way they want to roll. Straight people for gay rights!

Personally, it wouldn't. But I have gay friends who would benefit from this and that would make me happy.

Designing the wedding ensemble and making money. A nice break from the usual white, lace gown. (You did mean two men, right?)

I have two gays friends who are in a relationship together.
I wish that they could get married. That would make me happy, because they are such a sweet couple!
