I've read that you should cut out all soda from your diet, but what about diet soda? There's no fat, no calories. does diet soda somehow make losing weight more difficult anyway?

Well, it is not ruining my diet. The experts claim our risk of being overweight is greater if we drink diet soda than if we drink regular soda, though they can't EXACTLY say why. One theory provided somewhere was because it is a 'sweet' drink, so when we put it in our body, our body expects an amount of calories to come from sweetness. Since diet soda has no calories, the body will keep searching for them and possibly trigger your brain to make you think you are hungry or need to eat something sweet.

There are about 35 mg of sodium in my diet soda, which is a whole 2% of the daily recommended amount, so uh, I'm not too worried there. Sodium helps you retain water so I could see the avoidance of weight loss there, but we're talking 2% for 12 ounces - no worries!!

I think you are better off filling up on water, which is also no calories, but I see nothing wrong with having a diet soda. Perhaps after you have one, eat a healthy dessert - that should do the trick!

Okay, well good luck!!

ALL sodas have tons of sodium, that will make your body retain water, and artificial sweeteners, like Splenda, in particular, are IMO chemical nightmares. If you replace sugar with Splenda, which is in everything diet, you will be consuming LOADS of it. Some have experienced mood swings from the stuff. Drink one regular soda a week. Make it a treat, an "event". Tee-totaling on foods will eventually make you fall off the wagon. Reward yourself every now and then for "being good". ; )

Suck that in. Consciously hold in and contract your abdominals while you’re walking, sitting at your desk or making the evening meal. This will help to strengthen your stomach muscles and your core, and bring you one step closer to any flatter stomach.

Eat muesli two hours before hitting the gym to boost fat burning whilst you train. Slow to digest, muesli takes longer for getting through your system, so is less apt to be turned into fat and still will give you a good energy boost.

New evidence suggests that the sugary taste "confuses" your appetite-you feel as though you should have had some calories, but didn't get any, which can lead to overeating.

Eat goats cheese rather then regular cheese. It contains 40 per cent fewer calories than the cheese made from cow’s milk.
