"The word of God" means the words are exactly as revealed (original language of the Messenger).

If I take a speech by the President of the United States, translate it into French and then publish it as the exact "President's Speech" I would be called a liar. The President never spoke in French and I could never say it was "his" speech. In fact it could only be called the closest translation of his speech but it can never be called "his words"; And even if I published his speech in English (as was the original) changed a few words and then put parenthesis around the entire speech and said this was his exact speech I would be imprisoned. If I changed even one single word it would no longer be the exact words of the President.

If Revelation is ever translated into a different language then it is no longer the "Word of God" , it would be the closest translation perhaps but NEVER the absolute WORD OF GOD.

If a single word in an entire book is changed the entire book is no longer the absolute "Word of God" .

This is the high standard now held by people who do not want to base their life and everlasting future on books that have been changed or altered from their original form in even the slightest way.

To find a book that does meet these high standards is nothing less than a Universal miracle and an blessing through the seed of Abraham for all of mankind.

The Holy Quran is in Arabic and all translations are considered to be “closest meanings”.
Millions of Muslims have memorized the entire Quran from cover to cover just as it was memorized by hundreds of early Muslims during the lifetime of Prophet Mohammed.

...Millions?

Hell, I'm a muslim and I only remember a few sura....not the whole Qur'an o_O

I don't even know anyone who remembers the whole Qur'an.

What's the point of memorizing but not understanding it anyway?

yesss. i have memorized the Quran word by words.
i can rewrite the quran with out any error. alhamdulilah.

OTHER holy books ( the taurat(Torah) the injil (gospel) have been corrupted in the form of additions or subtractions or alterations in the original test.
it will be so preserved until the Day of resurrections. Muslims today read and recite the Quran text that was read and recite during the lifetime of the prophet muhammad saw and his companions. Not a single word has been added to the quran or deleted form it.

Allah ( God) said in the Quran chapter 15:9
"verily, we it is we who have send down the dhikr( Quran ) and surely we will guard it ( from crruptions)

With respect, it does not matter how accurate the Quran is in translation, IF Jesus is the son of God, and Islam denies that fact, then the whole religion is simply wrong.
It is all very well that Jesus is respected as a prophet, but this puts him in a class with all the other prophets who had two human parents.
If the quran teaches that Jesus was born with God as his father, then he is surely MORE than just a prophet.
I am sure someone will correct me if needed on thios point.
As a J.W. I beliueve that Jesus was and IS God's son and that all worship TO GOD, should be THROUGH his son.
(John 14:6) Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I think a President's translated speech would be considered his own words. Not literally of course, but for all practical purposes it is his own words. The fact that it's a translation amounts to a small technicality.

This is why Bible translations are called Bible TRANSLATIONS. The original is in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. The word of God does not change at all. Since it is the same from the earliest Bible manuscripts we have, from before 400 AD, to today, God has demonstrated that he is true to his word. Since the Koran contradicts scripture, it can not be the word of the one true God. Millions of men and women memorizing lies, does not change God's word one bit.

Did you know that none of this matters at all? There are no gods, and nothing is the word of any of them.
