If our lives are predestined are we wasting our time by trying to change our lot in life?

Its our choices within the un-chosen circumstances that create our life. I understand the word 'destiny' to be a denial of freedom but if you use the word to mean a general calling, then I have no problem with it.

If we do not have freedom of choice then an individual life is pointless. To say my life means I make own my choices. I create my life. Whatever the circumstances then I will seek to move towards my inner goals. The clearer we our about our goals the more freedom we have and the more efficiently we will move achieve them.

Our main problem is that we get distracted by other people's goals, what they think we should do. The frustrating thing about following other peoples goals is they we forget about our own. The difficulty about only following our own is that there will be nobody to share our achievements with.

Perhaps this is why the greatest individuals are not recognized until after they have died.

Everytime we do something or do nothing has an effect to ourselves and to others. We can be a victim of circumstances when other people are do something or doing nothing. or natural physical circumstances also affects our lives.
Now, life is not what happens to us, it is what we do when it happens to us. We do have choice. If problems happens to us, when can just lie down or do something.
The end result of our choices and actions in our entire life, will be our destiny.

Do you know what your end is? Being predestined to do the things you're going to do in life includes whatever you choose to do or not do. If you decide to change your life, that's what was predetermined to happen. Every choice you are going to make, and the ones you've already made, were and are predetermined, but you're still responsible for the choices you because they're the choices you make. This is why you can't really worry about predestination that much. Just live.

Its a fork in the road of life. If you choose to go on the hard and narrow road to the right, your destiny will lead you to eternal life. If you choose to go to the left down the wide highway of destruction, you will choose the destiny that leads to an eternity of darkness. We have but two choices.

Life is what you make it
the decisions you make are your own
but remember one thing you are responsible for the choices you make and how you respond to the choices of others as well
I guess what I'm trying to say is yes you do have choices but so do those around you and their choices also affect you cause the world is all connected for good or bad

You are as free to make your choices in everything as making yourself the victim

Both. God knows where you will end up, therefore your fate is known, but He does not interfere with the choices you make, so you decide in the end where you go. He knows, but it's your choice.
