If you knew more about your own religion, would it benefit your faith? Or do you already know everything there is to know about it?

I studied comparative religion for quite a number of years. When i went deep into each religion (learning as well as practicing it whole heartedly) i found out something new. It was totally different from what i used to believe in the beginning.
If we knew more about any religion, you will feel that everyone is ONE and the SAME. All human beings are ONE, the difference is only in how you perceive. Even Islam talks about it but people follow it differently today. And to answer your second question, nobody can learn everything about anything. There is no end to the knowledge. I feel, the more you learn, the more questions you are left with.

With my being Spiritual. . . I'm not of any " religion ".

Is being Spiritual a " faith " ? Don't really think so. But...not matter. . . " labels " are useful for sake of communication only...any more than that quality of the essence of a person is what's to be focused on.

Having said that . . . The knowledge that I come into through my Spirituality I certaintly don't find to be " dangerous " at all. In fact...I find it's just lthe opposite. You used the word " knowledge ". . . What I experience about increased " knowledge " is for me coming into increased " awareness " through knowledge.

To be more aware of the the magnificant brilliance of Light of ( God ) the One. . . how can that be " dangerous "? With increasing awareness of the One. . . I feel more of what authentic Pure Love is about. . . and, again, how can feeling authentic Love be " dangerous "?

Do I know, or am aware of " everything " there is to know about it ? " If " it " is the Pure Love of the One . . . then, no, I don't know " everything " there is to know. I am a soul living a human experience . . . To know " everything " I'd think that I'd be experiencing that moment when this precious body has its end and this soul is again released to be one with the One again . . . and the ( God ) the One IS Everything . . . right now...I'm simply a soul as a human living this experience Of the One . . . My humbleness of Knowing and feeling the awakingness of awareness that I'm able to see the One more clearly. . . A joy to me . . . And, how can feeling more joy be " dangerous ?". The One is pleased to for us to be aware of that Pure Light . . . That Pure Light is Love . . . and how great is that ? ! !

It's pathetic reading a lot of answers here! You can read the Bible for 70 years, and be a Phi Beta Kappa genius, and still not know what the bible says. Then some 8 year old that prays for understanding and truly gets it can read the bible a couple of times and understand more than the Phi Beta Kappa genius.

Knowledge is never dangerous. If most people really understood scripture they would a little more receptive. People dismiss God and Jesus outright because of fear. It's funny, people accept a lot of science as fact even though there is no proof.

For example: If our understanding of the laws of physics is correct, our galaxy should have ripped itself apart years ago (like a quickly spinning plate of jello). What holds it together? Dark matter. Only no one knows what dark matter is, and science can't explain it or prove it exists, yet most people just accept it as fact.

There is plenty of evidence of the existence of God. Many choose not to see it. Why? Again, out of fear. What would happen to world if there was absolute proof of God? It would mean the end of civilization as we know it. It would mean the end of war (and devastate any company's that may profit from it) no more pornography, and so on. It would quite literally cripple our economy.

Why doesn't God just appear and give us absolute proof of his existence? God gave us freedom of choice. If he just appeared to us, we would lose that choice. So we can choose to do our best to follow his teachings or we can choose to do what we think is best for ourselves. He left it up to us.

Well this depends on if you are talking about religion or God. I know a lot about my religion, because I have studied it in college. I read and study about God and spirituality all the time. I really don't need to learn about my 'religion' what I need to learn is about my God. And we can never know all there is to know about God. Religion is not the goal, God is the goal. To be one with God. To be transformed into the image of Christ. This is the goal of every follower of Jesus.

No. It is beneficial.
the bible stresses to make sure your information is ACCURATE.
(2 Peter 1:2-3) May undeserved kindness and peace be increased to YOU by an accurate knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 forasmuch as his divine power has given us freely all the things that concern life and godly devotion, through the accurate knowledge of the one who called us through glory and virtue.

It is TRADITION that is the danger,
(Matthew 15:3) In reply he said to them: “Why is it YOU also overstep the commandment of God because of YOUR tradition?

(Matthew 15:6) he must not honor his father at all.’ And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition.

Knowledge is NEVER dangerous, it is what you DO with that knowledge that counts. I don't mean just knowledge of YOUR religion, I mean knowledge of that AND the alternatives to it. That then can TRULY be called "knowledge" rather than "following dogma"

Well I got to know everything about my religion ( Christianity ) and have now become atheist. I read the Bible through thick and thin and concluded it only to be a story, and Science is my savor. Science heals lives and helps us live longer then 100 when religious people are the ones killiing themselves in the name of thier God.

Study to show thyself approved
2Tm:2:14: Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
2Tm:2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2Tm:2:16: But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
2Tm:2:17: And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
2Tm:2:18: Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
2Tm:2:19: Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2Tm:2:20: But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
2Tm:2:21: If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
2Tm:2:22: Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2Tm:2:23: But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
2Tm:2:24: And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2Tm:2:25: In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2Tm:2:26: And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
IT IS A WALK FOR LIFE.
