It is a matter of great delight to have this opportunity. Writing is still a favourite hobby and pastime. You dole out your feelings in a different way, which is better than email.

To be honest, Yes, these day for a long time now I have been writing only email and short messages only.
And why not, its easy, its insant, with the problems of getting down, standing the que for stamps first, and then posting and then at time following up with the post offices when your letter doesn't reach the destination, etc.

Yup! I sure still do that. Every month or so I try to write a letter to my friends across in the US (I'm in Australia). It's nice to receive snail mail once in awhile. I think we have taken e-mail and instant messaging for granted and it has lost it's novelty. E-mailing and instant messaging is such a common thing to do now that it doesn't have any special quality in receiving it anymore.
Whereas with letters, when you receive one, you know that person has taken the effort to write it out and gone to the post to get it posted to you. It's always worth the wait.
So yes, letters are still definitely the way to go for me, even if it takes time.

Yes I still write letters. Some friends and relatives don't have email and don't know how to text message. Writting letters and making phone calls also is more personal.

Many people do not have e-mail. I send birthday, Christmas cards and a note now and then to those who don't have or use e-mail. I don't do IM at all. And no, I do not know how to 'text message' either. It is a generational thing. Got a nice letter just yesterday from an 86 year old friend of mine.

Virtually writing letters is stopped. Only telephonic conversations or e mail. Days are ahead with many more changes.
