Picasso painted Guernica as a tribute to his hometown when it was bombed by the Nazis in the 1940s. So it was created to convey the horrors of war...not really fascism though.

B. the horors of fascism and war. It is a very moving piece of artwork. I am not necessarily a big fan of Picasso, but I respect the power of this piece.

Well actually as a Malagan, he was rejected by the tradtional spaniard society (Castillians) but was as he wrote in his memoirs, it was his reflection of not only the horrors brought upon by war but also the beast that was Francisco Franco. he states "In the panel on which I am working, which I shall call Guernica, and in all my recent works of art, I clearly express my abhorrence of the military caste which has sunk Spain in an ocean of pain and death." I would go with answer B.
