Does the sentence "The government showed its inflexible profile on the matter." make sense?

Is " The government showed its UNCOMPROMISING ATTITUDE on the matter. " a BETTER expression?

How about the ff:
"The government showed its uncompromising stand on the matter".
"The government indicated its firm position on the matter".

'Uncompromising attitude' is much better. 'Inflexible attitude' would work, too.

I think "profile" sounds a little odd. You could put "stance" there
