Neither. None of those lettuces really have any nutritional value. Opt for a really green or red leafy type for salads and sandwiches. Also you can never go wrong with spinach as a lettuce substitute, It tastes great and when its fresh it really isn't the mucky stuff Popeye eats. Try it!

Definitely Romain, particularly the inner crunchy leaves. Iceberg aggravates my IBS, and Romain doesn't.

Do you mean "Romaine" lettuce? I prefer it to iceberg because it's greener and tastier and the greener a vegetable is, the better it is for you nutritionally.

It depends on what you are making, I choose iceberg for salads to give them that extra crunch but I use romaine on sandwiches to give them that funky "green" flavor.

Of those 2, romaine because it is more nutritious. But what I really love is spinach. Love those tender and super nutritious spinach leaves!
