Family Planning. If you're early enough in your pregnancy, you could get the abortion pill, RU486, but it costs around $450. Or you could get the surgical abortion, which is much cheaper, costing anywhere from $300 to $400. Just make sure you have someone to drive you, since the effects of the anesthesia take a few hours to wear off. I know it's a hard decision, but you're a strong woman for making it, and don't listen to anyone who gives you a hard time for it. Nobody knows the circumstances surrounding your decision, and it's none of their business what you choose to do with your body. You don't have to carry a baby you don't want, and you certainly don't have to listen to anyone saying otherwise. Good luck to you.

My daughter was in the same position 2 weeks ago, she decided to abort her baby. And let me tell you how she feels right now. She cannot sleep, she cannot eat, she cries all day and night. She is a mental mess. She decided to have one done because she felt she wasn't ready to be a Mother, a very common emotion for ALL expectant mothers, but we do the best we can and love our children despite our fears. What I'm saying is to please reconsider your decision, My daughter is grieving and she regrets she did this. Its nothing to take lightly and its a humiliating procedure. All this turmoil for $285.00. I am not a neurotic pro-lifer, I was always pro-choice until it struck so close to my heart. Please think long and hard about doing this and how you will feel after the baby is gone. If you can do it with no emotion than by all means,go ahead. But what you don't realize is when you become pregnant you are given a whole new set of hormones along with it, and when the natural process of pregnancy is interrupted like that all new emotions go along with it that are very extreme. Please let me know your decision, I would like to think I helped you change your mind, it would help me, since I couldn't help my Grandchild.

Cost of Abortion
How much does a surgical abortion cost?

How much does a medical abortion cost? In 2001, the average charge for a medical abortion was $487.

Who pays for abortions?

Some 74% of women pay for abortions with their own money; 13% of abortions are covered by Medicaid, and 13% are billed directly to private insurance. Some women who pay for the procedure themselves may receive insurance reimbursement later.
Does the U.S. government help poor women who need abortions pay for them?

Congress has barred the use of federal Medicaid funds to pay for abortions, except when the woman’s life would be endangered by a full-term pregnancy, or in cases of rape or incest. As of November 2006, 17 states used their own funds to subsidize abortion for poor women. In actuality, however, about half of these states provide little to no funds to cover these services.
How many states prohibit public funding of abortions?

A total of 32 states and the District of Columbia prohibit public funding of abortions, except in cases of life endangerment, rape or incest. South Dakota only provides public funding of abortions when necessary to protect the woman’s life, which is not in compliance with the federal Medicaid statute.

I think you should re-think and weigh all your options. I have a friend who had an abortion a few years back and she totally regrets it now, and she has since the day after. There are many families out there who can not have a child. Would you consider adoption instead?

I'm sure you don't want a lecture; just the name of a clinic.
I could never tell you where to do the deed.
Please reconsider. It's only a short period of your life to have this baby. You don't have to keep the baby. Don't do something that you will regret if you terminate this pregnancy.
This baby has a heart beat 18 days from conception and by 21 days the heart is pumping blood. By 9 weeks all the structures necessary for pain sensation are functioning.

its somewhere between 300-500 dollars. but i would suggest not doing that. you'll be sad and emotional after it happens. most likeyl you'll regret it. if your worried about your family there are always really nice houses to stay at for single pregnant mothers and single mothers. my sister is in one and there're great. my sister also had an abortion, my mom talked her into it, she took the pill and she was in the worst pain of her life. she was on the bathroom floor lying their crying and screaming in pain. at least an epidural can save you. but take responsibility for your actions, kids arent that bad

That's too bad that you want to do that, but if it's something you REALLY want/need to do, look it up in the phone book, they have listings for clinics that do it, or call planned parenthood and talk with someone, and see if it's still what you want to do...you do have options...
