It will vary, and if you apologise they may be feeling generous. The fee exists because dentists get paid for each patient they see. If you miss your appointment they miss out on a fee. Sometimes GPs wax lyrical about this type of system!

They can charge you for an office call, that being whatever your dentist normally charges for you just walking through his door. But...most doctors won't charge you, unless you make a habit of not showing up for appointments. I would call the dentists office as soon as possible, apologize for forgetting and make another appointment. I wouldn't mention how much you are going to be charged for missing the previous appointment. If they want to charge you, they will mention it.

you're fortunate, my boss charged 60 pounds in step with hour for a neglected appointment, human beings dont understand how plenty time they waste while those with genuine soreness can not be seen on the grounds which you're to busy, its common courtesy to telephone and enable them to correctly known you cant make it. besides, if that is been over 18 months on the grounds that your final appointment on the dentist the wellness board would have immediately de-registered you from the guidance, and that they gained't be obliged to handle you, additionally in case you probably did not return for therapy they are able to request which you be taken off their checklist and you isn't lined for emergency therapy the two. in case you have attended interior the final 18 months its obtainable that they'd have stored you on their checklist however the only thank you to ascertain would be to invite your dentist or touch you interior of sight wellness board, in case you're nevertheless registered they you're entitled to emergency therapy, besides the reality that it would merely be a non everlasting degree and the dentist would desire to refuse to end your therapy, your proper guess is to the two pay the 25 pounds or attempt to discover yet another guidance to take you on.

Not all dentists charge for missed appointments. I know our orthodontist doesn't when my son misses an appointment.

That depends... Mine charges $25. a missed visit... But if you're REALLY good looking, & you use the old Navaho Indian trick of screaming & begging- he might let you off with a Filling... :)

happened to me before. And they didn't charge me anything. Also, if you have insurance, the insurance co pays your assigned dentist a fee already, regardless if you go or not.
