No. The efficiency of the AC (the amount of heat energy it removes from the air vs. the amount of energy it uses) stays the same. But the room temperature will increase due to the increased thermal load.

They do not effect the efficiency of the A/C unit, but they do have an effect on the amount it will run. If you are trying to cool the room, and there is a light near the thermostat, it will always think it is warmer than it is, causing the A/C unit to run longer. Likewise, if there is a light near the thermostat and you are trying to heat the room, it will always think its warmer, causing the A/C unit to run less. Either way, the efficiency of the unit is not effected, just the amount it is used.
