They give you a fine and then a certain amount more of money for each fish and their size. They can confiscate your equipment. If it is a second or third offense, i believe you could spend a couple days locked up.

Pay it. Law is in the U.S. if you are caught hunting/fishing with somebody and none adults (18+) have a license with them, they are hunting/fishing illegally. If they do have a license, then for fishing, your all fine but if there is a certain amount of fish u can catch(and keep), like 2 per person, it only applies to the person with the license. so anyone else cant keep fish. but yea to make a long story short, you need to pay the ticket.

In Indiana it is up the officer how much of a citation to give but usually they just give you a ticket for a first time offense when fishing with no valid license.

Give you a fine for not having the license. Also give you additional fines for each fish. Take your fish. And if the fish you caught are on the no keep list or out of season thats another ticket.
If they catch you often enough the can give you jail time. Oh, if you have illegal game (fish or anything else) in your vehicle, they can take that also, the vehicle. Just like they do for illegal drugs.

Before you listen to anyone who is not a Law Enforcement officer in the state you are fishing, or someone that has had dealings, I would check out this site and call the number of your region.

A friend of mine in Florida actually spent jail time for no license. You might check the game laws in Indiana, or just pay for the license, it's way cheaper however you look at it.

It hasn't happened to me but I think its a fine and I think under the right circumstances they can seize your equipment, fish, and other things. But the laws very from state to state so if you could, post which state your from.

What they can do is; the max would be to place you under arrest and put you in jail. They can also confiscate your equipment and any fish you have caught and write you several tickets.
