Theoritically speaking Conversions can be allowed and it is the right of the individual to choose whichever religion he/she likes. But practically and realistically speaking conversions are a big farce.Generally conversions take place in third world countries only in the lower strata of the society. There again a lot of inducements are thrown in to get them converted such as money or employment. Neither the party which converts or the one which gets converted are sincerely interested or bothered of the religious beliefs. You end up finally with only a crowd of insincere neo converts.

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most merciful.
Islam Does not approve of the word Conversion.Yes a Hindu
can convert to a christian, a christian Can convert to a Hindu
But any person from any other religion does not convert to,
But REVERTS to Islam. What it simply means that when a
Hindu or a Christian or a Buddist etc, crosses over to Islam
He/she is Reverting back to the original religion that you were
born in .
The Propher Muhammad [peace be on Him] told us that every
child is born in a pure state of Islam a masoom, It is His/ her
parents who make him a Himdu a christian a Magian etc. Most continue on the traditions of their parents and that of
society , but some begin questioning these concepts and
doctrines and are lead towards Islam where they find the
Truth.
Today Islam is the Fastest growing religion in the world by the
grace of Almighty Allah .Despite everyone trying their best
to malign Islam we have people From The west and Europe
entering Islam in the Hundreds on a daily Basis.Islam is the
religion of Truth and is destined to prevail over all religions.
No matter what the desbelievers plot and plan Allah too Plots
and Plans and God almighty is the best of Planners.
I recommend to all the people out there who are disturbed
and cannot find answers to the meaning of their lives , just
take a step towards Islam try to understand its real meaning
and pray to God almighty The one and only one God to
guide you to His religion , and with the first step that you take
towards Islam God almighty will Come running towards you
with his arms outstreched as a father would go towards his
long lost child.

It is an unnecessary exercise and doing that will be like living in a world of illusions.
Even the religions which we are born as, is doing no good to us. It is at best, a community requirement and no better than that.
We all are eternal souls and need to convert to the soul's religion. That religion is same for every human being.

Im totally against the religious conversions because for gains only people are after it. Is it possible for you to change your father and mother? Likewise you cannot change your faith evenif you are changing the religion for some obvious reasons.

That is the most despicable thing to do. It is like changing your mother and father. You do not disown your parents for being what they are and for being attracted to some pretty persons who wanted to adopt you at the expense of your parentage.

Umm, all religions teach a bit of good things. they all lead to god. some religions are more agressive than others. it doesn't bother me if someone want to convert, but i dont want them to forget the true meaning of life.

Certainly, if the person wants to convert.
Everyone should be free to choose the religion they want to follow.
You don't have to stick to the one you were born with, unless you really think it's right.
