You know it is a difficult question. God said in Isaiah that "my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts" I dont think God meant for us to know ALL the things we spend so much time trying to figure out. He also said that one day regardless of your beliefs that you will see HIM as HE IS and your eyes will be opened. He said all tongues will confess and every knee shall one day bow down to HIM. Life compared to what God describes as eternity is what he says is a "blink of an eye" Your time on Earth is so short in comparison to the time we will spend with God in eternity or separated from Him. I thnk God's general Purpose for us being here is for us to carry out his will. Though God knows what will happen before it happens because he is all knowing he finds pleasure in watching his creations carry out free will. I think He wishes for us to tell other about Him so that as many people can join Him in the after life as possible. He knows who will and will not accept him but he ALSO knows that the way people will accept him many times is through the witness of other people here on his earth. I think God finds delight in us when we are telling other about Him. God created the heavens and the Earth and created man in his image and he finds pleasure in our pleasure in life. He loves each of us and he wishes for us to lead purpose driven lives doing the best things we can do to lead other people to the joys of life and to the joys that await us. Our purpose isnt to be here on earth miserable always contemplating and thinking about why am I here and being confused. God is "the author of peace and love. Satan is the founder of confusion and lies. This is what John has told us in The first epistle of John. All the answers cant come in a paragraph or from one person but your life was intended for joy and God finds joy in a person with a purpose driven life for him :) Good luck

Life was "given" to you because your Mummy and Daddy wanted to "play hide the sausage" a few too many times.
Personally, I think it is "taking seriously what was poked in fun"

to honor and worship God.
That is our ONLY purpose here.
His Word, the Bible, tells us how we can have a peaceful, joyful, happy contented life--JUST by letting HIM have our life in His hands, which I do.
He is the MOST AWESOME GOD!!

We are born. We exist. We do not know why we are born, or what purpose we have.
