I am wondering if there are any websites, or if anyone knows anyone personally or through the grapevine who has had back surgery in the greater Chicago land area.

I am trying to find well rated and reviewed doctors who would deal with herniated discs, spinal cords and surgery for them.

thanks

We are in Crystal Lake IL, 50 miles from Chicago.

And my dad has tried it all: epidermals, meds, chiropractor, acupuncture, exercise. And has for years. he is in construction and it has just had its toll.

You might start by calling the county medical association of Cook County , or the surrounding counties, depending where you live. Tell them just what you problem is, and could they direct you to someone??

You could also look up the web site of a nearby hospital,..On most of these sites, there is a dropdown,. "find a doctor." Pen this, andlookupthespecialty. you'll see doctors who specialize in this. Some of these doctors have their own web site,so you could check these out. Or, just call some hospitals.

Also, here's a web site i found. They have an 800 number. Call them Maybe they can help.

i wish i knew approx where you live, in town or perhaps 50 mls away,i'd look a bit more, buti think you have the idea. Good luck. Get well.

I am not in the chicago area, but I had a chronic back problem for over 50 years, and when I started on supplements in 2 years the problem was gone, and it has now been over 2 years and still no more back pain, and I am still on supplements, which I will be for the rest of my life, as there are not much nutrients in the food anymore, and supplements make up the things our bodies need. If at all possible try not to go for surgery, there is an option.
