I think it dumb when people say that it was their time to go God needed another angel... Hello, Didn't God create the angels? if he wanted another one he would make one not let someone die a painful death.
We all do have a time to die but I do believe that the person driving drunk should take responsibility for their actions. everyone should.

A lot of well meaning people say stupid things at a time like this. They want to make you feel better and they feel awkward and want something to say. There is really nothing that anyone can say, except to just be there with and for you. But that makes people feel uncomfortable. This is when they say all of these things.
If a drunk driver killed someone it was because of his choice to get in an car and drive when he was drunk. And that free will of the driver is what killed the 2 people. It was not God, it was not alcohol. It was a tragic thing. God doesn't need any more angels; and humans don't become angels. If you let Him, God will try to bring something good out of this, but it was never his will for it to happen.

I am not sure my answer will provide comfort for you. It sounds like you are grieving the loss of a loved one.
There is no one to blame...and everyone has an "out"
Could be that the driver suffers from the disease of alcoholism..if that is the case, the person could not have stopped drinking if they had wanted to. One is to many and a thousand never enough.
The company who made the booze itself?... There are alot of responsible "Social Drinkers" who do not abuse the alcohol.
As for blaming God, well, I am a firm believer in the statement that nothing happens in Gods world by mistake.
It could be that the souls who passed on had learned their life lessons and were ready to advance to the next level of existance.
Regardless of who you blame, or how bad the hurt, or what you do to deal with the hurt and the loss.......Nothing will change the fact that they are gone.
I pray you may find comfort and solace in the God of your understanding....

how would you know when another person's time is?
Sorry there is no one to blame. But you if you insist on laying blame [you] forget to lay the blame on the family members that decided to drive or walk down that particular street at that particular time.
We call it sh*t happens because we don't understand it. Some people hold the belief that with the help of other loved ones you plan your life before you are born so that you may reach as many lessons as [god] had intended. Don't judge a car wreck. There are lessons in it for all survivors and the rest are willing to go 'home' so that the survivors may proceed according to their souls destiny.

This whole business of "God taking people" is great for feal-good moments at funerals and comforting people, but it has no sound Scriptural basis.
If God had something to do with your death, the odds are you fell under his wrath. God allows nature to take its course and/or for evil to have its way. Sometimes he intervenes, but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
I think the most important lesson anybody can draw from death, is that life is precious. Cherish the moments and do everything you can to serve God because you only get one go of it in this life and then its over. People dont sit on their death beds wondering "man I shoulda bought more stuff" or "man I served God TOO much." Peoples regrets center around not loving their family or loving God as they should have in their lives.

I do believe that everyone has a time to go. But I don't necessarily believe that it is an exact certain minute. I don't believe that God takes us down to the second that He wants to call us to Heaven. I believe that what happens to us before death, specifically the way we die, is not pre-planned. So it is to say that the drunk driver is at fault, they are the ones who got in a vehicle and took away life from another human being, they must live with that on their conscience, and the only way of redemption from sins is.... Ask God's forgiveness.

A death, no matter if it's a family member, friend, or stranger, no matter how the person dies, is that persons time, and they have learned what they have needed to in this earthly incarnation, thus they free to pass on to ready themselves for another life. So I view it as a sad occurrence, but also understand that it was part of the cycle of life.
This is just a part of my belief, take it or leave it.

If we knew everything like God does we would have these kind of questions. Who knows...God brings them home...maybe instead of life support and some one having the guilt of pulling the plug, be an issue he made it easier for the living. God knows, in it all, he just wants to be glorified, loved, reverenced, feared. Sounds like a good reason to count our blessings now, huh.
Men, humans are to blame for the accident and God decides who stays and who should go. Let us hope that they were saved.

Firs one has to understand Karma and Reincarnation or they just won't get the big picture and Gods all loving merciful nature. It is the drunkards karma now and the child will not go to heaven. They will be born again in the material world and have another chance to learn the absolute truth again. It was also the karma of the Child to be killed. They could have been a drunkard in their past life and killed someone and now they have to reap the results of their past action. Most of what is coming to us in this life is coming from our past life activities. That is why a child is born blind or rich or ugly or whatever. It is all karma. That is why so much suffering is going on. It is the laws of material nature. Not God punishing us.

I have to state only my opinion on this question as I have nothing scriptural with which to back it up..but..I don't believe that God causes or allows people to die. I think that death is the natural result of the fact that when the first sin was committed, we lost the physical protection of God that he had given Adam and Eve originally. Therefore, our death comes as a result of outside influences..whether it be drunk drivers...a disease...air pollution or starvation etc.
