Yes way more. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul also known as Krishna, Allah,Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We are but a spark of His Splendor. We have all the qualities of God but not in the same quantity. Like a drop of water has all the qualities of the ocean but never becomes the ocean. Our mind is a conglomeration of all the situations and experiences accumulated from all of our lifetimes in the material worlds. When one reawakens their consciousness they begin to remember reality and their eternal relationship with their Maker and all mundane existence becomes insignificant. For information on this topic go to harekrishnatemple.co Read Bhagavad Gita As it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada-all about reality and illuison.

Yea, we are also in the memories of other people who have seen us. But asides from that nope. If we had no memories, then no one would exist inside our universe (our mind). Once you were dead, no one would remember you , therefore you would have never been ( in there minds). It goes to say then, that just because your mind doesn't see something, doesn't mean it never was or still isn't.

You can be pure energy & still retain your memories, I suspect scientists are beginning to discover this. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/01/25/single_photon_storage/ I think that the soul may be multi-pieced, & that yes survival of bodily death is possible http://psychology.ucdavis.edu/tart/survival/default.html http://www.xs4all.nl/~wichm/paraps.html But I think it is not easy to remember one's past in another body, it's like excavating through granite & requires tenacity & scepticism. Snakes have been a symbol of those who can change their skins without forgetting for millenia, they are known as symbols of wisdom & immortality outside of the Christian world.

That is a nice thinking question, but we still have to (or had to) choose things in order to recieve the memories, so it still doesn't matter.

Our souls are immortal and live on, both in the memory of those we leave behind, as well as in the presence, or absence should we go to hell, of Almighty God, who never forgets...
