Okay so maybe rigged isn't the word for it, but when you have officials of the sport openly rooting for one driver or another then that opens the door for shenanigans. Talladega and Daytona are perfect examples...the only two tracks where NASCAR supplies teams with certain parts (shocks, plates) and Jr is mysteriously amazing there....hmmmm. I like the guy, but I think he's way overrated as a driver who's only real claim to fame is his name.

Talladega baby!! He is good at that track so if he wins it doesnt mean its rigged it just means that he finally did something right!

Daytona and Talladage does not belive in rigging a car. They have strick rules and regulations to follow for a safe race. Yes they do make them run a restrictor plate and shocks, so that the speed will stay the under the 200 mile anhour mark. Yes it also has to be safe for the drivers and the fans too. And no they are not rigged, they check them cars before the race and after the race. I know, go to Talladage, 2 times a year.

Dale Jr. has had some pretty good runs here lately and is due for a win. Unfortunately, some of these good runs have ended early by problems he couldn't avoid. I think Dale Jr. has a pretty good chance of winning this weekend at Talledega. This is one of Jr's better tracks and he has several wins to back this up. If Dale Jr does win in the next few weeks it will be because he finally had the car to win with in the end. Besides, how do you rig 43 cars going 200 miles an hour with only inches between them every lap? That is what makes NASCAR so great!

OMFG. Learn your NASCAR history. Humpy Wheeler is a PROMOTER. He needs the most popular divers to win to fill seats at the tracks he owns. That is all...
Never mind that he and Dale Sr. had a special friendship that probably transfers over to Jr. Wheeler helped so many drivers to become popular so the sport became popular.

the 8 team does well at the superspeedways. but i agree with smoke. they throw bullshit cautions to see junior retain the lead as long as possible with 10 to go (fall atlanta race 2006) or to give jeff gordon a chance to catch up and pass stewart as this past weekend in phoenix. the 48 has won 3 times this year and all 3 times have been under questionable conditions. so i expect junior to LEGITAMATELY run well, but anything after that is rigged.

It would be far easier to rig a race when they are on a shorter track (ghost debris cautions) than a super speedway. I am not saying they are rigged, just saying it would make more sense on shorter tracks to pull something off like that.
Anyone caught in a 'gaggle' of cars on the freeway knows how Junior finds his way to the front :-)

hahaha it is so laughable that some people ACTUALLY think nascar is, or could be, rigged?! 43 cars bumper to bumper going speeds nearing 200 miles per hour! Wrecks, blown engines, broken parts, and a million other factors that you CANNOT CONTROL!
If NASCAR was rigged Dale Jr. would have already one and wouldn't be 18th in points... Why would they want the most popular driver doing so poorly?! Jr has had good cars all season, he has just had unbelievably bad luck so far...
Also, if NASCAR provided him with superior parts at restrictor plate races then why was his car so bad at Daytona this year?? Why can't you just admit that his team works incredibly hard to give him a great car at these races and his knowledge of how to use the draft is superior to just about every other drivers

At Talladega if Junior wants to win he better stay away from jimmie Johnson (Jr's been wrecked by him severalX at superspeedways) and Brian Wreckers (if he even qualifies).
