Basically spy planes indicated Cuba has nuclear missiles that could devastate about two-thirds of America, placed there by Russia.

Kennedy put a quarentine against all ships entering Cuba to stop the importation of more missiles, but the US had to run the risk of missiles being launched.

It was a very tense two weeks for the world before Russia agreed to remove the missiles in a back porch offer.

Hope the homework assignment goes well
