I went to a hairdresser in Harlem that was referred to me by a friend 4 weeks ago. I got a weave (it felt tight) but I thought it was notmal since I never had a weave before. I was very uncomfortable and took it out 3 weeks later. My scalp was scared and had puss coming out of it. I have no insurance and can not afford to go to emergency and don't have a doctor. I am really stressed out because I am not bald in the center of my head (crown). I went to the hairdresser and she said that I should have taken the hair out and I was responsible. She did not apologise or offer to refund me the money. Can I sue. I have a scar and I am bald? I have to wear a wig all the time and I feel seriously humilated

Yes you can sue. Take the hair salon to small claims court. If you never had a weave before and the hairdresser knew that she should of made sure that you were properly informed on anything that may happen. Make sure you have before the weave pics and after. And you should go to a clinic and get something to help with the puss problem. Good Luck

sueing someone over something that is SO NOT PERMANANT is really a rediculous thing to do. Think of how much you will effect that persons life over something that she probably did right and you could have just had a reaction from it. You take that chance by going in and getting the work done to your head, your hair dresser cant really control if your hair decides to puss up. just let it go, i mean you could probably sue and win, but thats terrible, sueing doesnt just effect her, what if she has a family and stuff, im sure nobody even knows you got a wig on. why are people so SUE HAPPY these days. IT GROWS BACK, YOU TOOK THE RISK, DEAL WITH IT. As mean as that sounds, i actually am sorry to hear that happend to you though. you'll live though

YES I would sue the heck out of them! And go to the doctor, so that they can help you in court- your doctor's papers saying that the damage was done because of the weave, and you have costs of medical care to go to court with...

Hell, I'd sue. Apologies aren't enough-she was the pro, PAID to do work that she had to be trained to do.

Contact the lisencing commission as well.

I hope everything turns out well, and if it gets bad enough, go to a public hospital. If there is pus, there is an infection.

in the event that they seem to be a professional, then particular. in simple terms because of fact they're bald would not recommend that they don't comprehend a thank you to cut back hair. perhaps they have maximum cancers, or they only like the kind of being bald.
