FICA is withheld from all wages. It does not need to be reported on your Federal return. Some states do give you a deduction for FICA taxes paid. If your state does, you will get a deduction or adjustment for it.

No, that information is supplied by your employer on the W-2 form sent to the government. However, if you are SELF-employed, you need to make quarterly payments. Only then do you state the amounts you paid for FICA.

No, your FICA is shown on your W-2, but you don't put it on your tax return. It's sent automatically to the social security administration.

As a church with a pastor who elected years ago to not pay any taxes on his income, do we (the church) still have to pay the church portion of SSA and FICA and if yes, how is this reported on the Form 941?

If I understand your question correctly - you are wondering if you should report how much was withheld from your pay for FICA?

I would say Yes - this number represents taxes that you have already paid. Even if you end up owing - you will want credit for what has already been skimmed from your pay and sent to the IRS.

The IRS receives this information from your employer as well but will most likely not correct this error for you.

You should have what they call a W2 form and take that and your other information to a tax preparer.

It is already late so y9ou probably will have a fine to pay as well.
