I have heard that the Masons are a spiritual mob, with all the best parts of religion in their ceremonies - brotherly love, harmony, good deeds, etc. But NONE of the stuff that causes conflict, such as "you MUST believe in this or that, otherwise you will be damned forever". Does anyone have experience of the Masons, and if so, what was it?

Is Freemasonry a religion? Not according to the people who should know best -- the Freemasons themselves.

From the above link: "Freemasonry is not a religion, nor is it a substitute for religion. It requires of its members belief in God as part of the obligation of every responsible adult, but advocates no sectarian faith or practice. Masonic ceremonies include prayers, both traditional and extempore, to reaffirm each individual's dependence on God and to seek divine guidance. Freemasonry is open to men of any faith, but religion may not be discussed at Masonic meetings."

never.... that's not something yet a renowned-day witch hunt against freemasonry. you, nor all people else, have something to worry from freemasonry, in fact all the freedoms you delight in are because of fact of freemasonry and in the event that they're being tread upon, threatened or taken away, it incredibly is via another team.

according to some, Masons were the prime force behind the establishment of Israel in the 40s, because rebuilding the Temple of Solomon is an ancient (or revisionist-history versino of "ancient") goal (there's an important mosque on the site now).

If true (I don't know if it is or not, but some authors make an interesting case), than Masons have done more to undermine world peace than anyone since Hitler.

They are a cult that gets people to join by doing a lot of really good things, like the Shriner's Hospitals. It is not until after you pass the level of Third degree Mason and become a Shriner that you start to learn what they are truly about.
