Is a private bussiness so, unless is a chain then each locale will have their own rules regarding this subject. Most of the time this is unproffesional behaviour. There should be a distance between client and trainer. The idea is that a client should not feel threaten or uncomfortable when going to the Gym. If a client does not feel comfortable then said client will stop going and the gym or store will loose bussines. However, sometimes these kind of things may turn into a good relationship so, if they aren't complainint why should anybody else.?!
Anyways, it is usually bad practice from the bussiness point of view to date your clients. It is not elegal though except in certain proffesions like teachers and psycologists etc ect.

I think it must depend on the gym's politics of conduct for employees. I don't see it as something bad, if it is desired by both individuals.
I don't think there is such a law in society, so it must be given to the gym to put rules on that.

not 100% positive, but it most likely sounds illegal, though for a gym employee it isnt as bad, usually its cases with clients and people working for the law, such as delinquents.
so it would depend on contracts and laws depending on your location you are refuring to.
