Only in the fact that they both have chemical reactions associated with them. It sounds like this particular woman sparks great passion in you from both sides. There are times where I just want to kick the crap out of my girlfriend. There are also times where I feel like I am the luckiest man on earth. What you now have to decide is which outweighs the other. You won't always feel warm toward someone you love, but if you find that living without them in your life is unacceptable..you have a reason to keep them.

Not so uncommon - for a start, check out Beatrice and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing. As for wanting to spank her - that's a classic sign of sexual attraction. And you never know, she might well enjoy it.
