It will be very flaky as time progresses thru the day... I imagine... I don't think it would be really harmful more than any product, But gel is cheap... Why contemplate ?
If you need a strong gel try got2be or effex is cheap but good, or use fructis in a small green jar I forgot the name... It is a type of wax or something but extra hold, My son used it and it was the best for spikes !

elmers glue does work just fine, speaking from experience, but you could always just buy HAIR GLUE.lol dur. Its for spikes, hawks, dreads and all sorts of styles, get it at a salon though, not the cheap crap from walmart or any place like that.

Elmers glue works - maybe you could use the sparkly glue for special occasions!
Be sure you wash it out every day, and don't sleep on your hawk unless you want it to break off...
It dries very nicely, not crusty and white.

My sister used watered down elmers to do mohawks all the time and her hair is a wreck.. now, 15 years later, it is thin and falling out still.. I wouldn't do it if you value your hair

If you're such a bad-a$$ punk, why would u care if your hair gets damaged or not. Mohawks are not for the Pantene hair commercial type. Go get some highlights, wanna-be.

Hmmm,i guess you could try it but its gunna be hard to wash out!I would rather use a gel or a extra hold hairspray!

Good luck!

Oh, no.don't even think about it. Definitely, it will damage your hair. Try using petroleum jelly in place of gel, your hair won't get dry. I had tested it and my son had tried it many times......
