I mean, they have their own measure system, why not their own alphabet?

Because the English alphabet is ... what it is?
LOL @ America doesnt like to change. yeah, okay, they just changed the name of the most popular sport in the world to accomodate to their own sport, where the ball touches the foot once or twice in the entire game. And they changed their spelling from the Britain spelling. Yeah, not different at all. Haha.

All countries use the latin alphabet except for oriental languages and a few other minor languages -- it's not just Americans --- time to go to school and LISTEN & LEARN !!!!!!!

Americans hate to change.
Our measuring system was based on the old English system; it wasn't one we developed from scatch (although certain elements evolved differnetly thatn England's).

All of it is a mixture of various cultures and religion.
America is analogous to a mongrel - a mish mash of many things that exist in its original form in its own country.
