Global Warming has become a threat due to its effects on different sectors mainly on food security, water supply, sea level rise, high frequency of extreme events and effect on ecosystem ultimately resulting in biodiversity loss.

research has shown that increase in temperature and CO2 will increase productivity of some of the food items and will decrease in others. But after reaching up to a specific level productivity in almost all food items decreases.

same is the case with all water resevoirs. our glaciers are melting. sea level is rising effecting near by communities. and frequency of extreme events like, too hot summer, too cold winter, cyclones, hurricanes and floods are increasing.

global warming has become a threat because of all the bad gases trapped in the ozone that don't let the solar energy out, thus heating up the planet. generally speaking, global warming is not a bad thing, but nowadays, it seems to have gotten out of hand.

Looking at agriculture, more carbon is being taken from the system thatn is being put in.... producing CO2 and not helping at all. Current suggestions to curbing global warming include locking carbon into environmental systems through agricultural practices and selling carbon credits later on. But my prof says that this would have to be implemented across entire continents to have any effect.
