Drifting is way expensive . . . ALL UPGRADES ---->>> tires, drive shaft, rear differnential, suspension, red lining the motor (make the motor stronger to handle more RPM), etc. If your heart is set on a drift car u DEFINITELY want a rear wheel drive. Yanking the e-brake in a front wheel hardly classifies as drifting and it is very hard to do in an AWD. As for cars that won't cost you much to purchase (and allow more money for upgrades), I would recommend a Nissan 240SX or Mazda RX-7. They're small and lightweight and after market companies are huge (but can be expensive b/c it is an import). A 350Z will cost you massive money towards insurance, and the upgrades are even more. Another car would be the Mustang, since it is so popular, you can find upgrades cheap.

I *really* hate to say this, but... Are you sure you can afford the insurance?

The only car in current Nissan inventory (excluding Infiniti) that is good for drifting would be the 350Z, and your insurance would be so high to make it not affordable even if you can afford the car itself.

Stick to Nissan Sentra SE-R (Spec V if you must) though even that can be expensive to insure as it's known as a pocket racer. It's FWD so it won't drift that well.

i ought to stay far flung from Mustangs on condition that mustang drivers are undemanding for being arrogant, undesirable losers and extremely insecure (possibly because they own a Ford lol) in case your searching used, the Mazda % 3 is large, very quickly (260hp) and tasty. also the Mini Cooper S is incredibly regarded and the ladies like it. in case you do not recommendations something older, yet very alluring and extremely quickly i ought to get a 95 stay clean of Stealth twin swifter. Its were given 320hp, AWD, large brakes, and may get large power from minor differences. Its a vehicle you do not see that a lot on the streets so if youcontinual a Stealth you'd be stated for having a sweet journey no longer too a lot of human beings were given. Its unique.

Don't buy a new car right now especially if it's your first car. We all do all these bonehead things with our first car, so if it's a nice you'll feel terrible if you ding it or something. Buy something that's a little cheaper, and as you gain more experience, think about buying something nice, like a mustang. That's what I would do.

Eclipse GSX - 1st Generation 89-94
Its turbo and awd, with a few mods can push over 400 hp from its small 2.0 4 cylinder. Do a search for Diamond Star Motorsports.... they were called DSM's.
