Carrots are high in vitamins beta-carrotein and other healthy nutrients and anit-oxidants. beta-carrotein plays an important role in vision.

This is also a bit of urban myth because in WWII the Brits had radar but the Nazi's had not developed it yet. So, when Brit pilots were captured and asked how they were able to see in the dark they told the Nazi's that they were fed lots of carrots.

When I was little my mom told me if I ate carrots I would have better vision. So I ate carrots like crazy hoping for super hero amazing vision. My precription is so bad right now (negative 4.25) that I'd have to call BS on that. BUT someone told me that they help you see better in the dark and I gotta say in the dark I can see better than in the light. I freak my hubby out I can poke him on the end of his nose in pitch black. Carrot power may have given me super hero in the dark sight.

Carrots are high in vitamin A and vitamin A is good for preventing night blindness(adjusting to sudden light). So, yeah, they can make you see better.

The fact that carrots help your eye sight is actually only a myth. I saw it on that health show, "What's Good For You?" They tested it, by making the poor guy eat like 15kg of carrots, and it didn't help at all.

Maybe. When I lost my sight in one eye, my ex-mother in law said I needed to eat more carrots and beef. I asked my neurologist and he said carrots had nothing to do with it. But eating more carrots never hurts!

Not unless your skin starts turning orange.

They might, but I heard that it was actually a World War 2 myth made up by the British.
