First Skin Damage Spot Removal? How old were you and where did you grow up?

I feel so proud!
I'm 39, grew up in SoCal with the required sunburn every summer and I didn't have my first early cancer/sun damage spot removed until today.

My whole family has had a ton of "stuff" removed and I am the eldest daughter in my family, so I feel good about prolonging that.

How old were you with your first "sun spot"?

(I gotta laugh about it-- I've already had thyroud cancer, herniated disks, bad circulation and tons of other health problems...)

first off, c-grats on doing well relative to your sibs.

.. and "recovering" so well on the same day.

I've had a few moles removed with liquid nitrogen tho I don't know if that counts as 'sun-spots'.

had some other 'stuff' removed with chemical painting. (lovely dinnertime talk I'm sure)

I grew up as "air-force brat" in lots of locations, with the teenage years in New Mexico where summertime **TAN** was commonplace and extreme ... as semiblond, I fried, blistered and peeled.

as far as I know, no-one of my sibs ever got skin-damage removal either .. tho now that you mention it, mebbe I should check with a dermatologiost.

I commiserate with your health-hassles and gotta salute your attitude in dealing with alll that junk.

I'm 36 and don't have any sun spots or damage. I'm very fair skinned and blonde so I wear SPF 15 every day. Even in the winter. I grew up in Wisconsin too so we don't have the intense sun for too long.

My sister is 39 with dark hair and skin. She stayed out in the sun a lot and she has sun spots/damage. Nothing removed yet....cross my fingers.
