I know this is a weird question, but our school got a new trailer for our marching band gear this year, and we've never had one before.
My conductor's been looking all over for the best way to organize it (shelves, racks, uniform storage, etc.), but hasn't come up with anything.
I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this sort of thing or has good ideas?

Well, I'd start w/ how many instruments of each type you have, and the dimensions when in their cases. Figure out how much space each takes, and maybe add 10%. Store heaviest (tubas) on bottom, lightest (piccolos) on top. Get shelves put in to perfectly fit tuba case heighth/width or piccolo heighth/width. Do the same w/ drums. I would think drumsticks coudl be stored in a drawstring bag and hung somewhere.

Measure how many feet of rod space the hanging unifroms take. Make space for that, plus a bit. Put hats in a shelf made specifically for them, so that no space is wasted.
