Yeah....people are just too scared to admit it.

No, my friend, you have it backwards. Science has proved there MUST be an Intelligent force behind this creation. Can you believe that a volcano exploding would land in such a way as to create a model of New York City?
The odds of the integrated complexities of the living cell being 'bumped' into it's delicate infrastructure to insure our toenails aren't where our eyelids are and our feet aren't where our hands are etc. are realistically impossible.
A question re the booklet above: If Allah or 'God' in the English language is the Creator and omnicient why would He issue two different Books? The main difference being one cites Jesus as a prophet among other prophets and the other records Jesus as 'God with us'? Since the Creator is 'not the author of confusion' what is then the answer to this paradox?

Hardly. They continue to reinforce each other daily. Religion wrong? I can see science proving that certain things did not actually happen the way the bible says they did, but Religion is a concept, and a practice. Not a scientific thing.

It depends on how you look at things. I teach science at the secondary level and I (gasp) do believe in God. I look at all the things that science proves and think, "Wow! God really put together some amazing things."
I think Einstein had it right, "Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind."
It doesn't really matter what is proven and what is not. What matters is what you believe and it brings you peace.

proved what?
that they know how the universe was created. X
that they know how man got here. X
that they really understand the force of gravity. X
seems to me science is just as vague as religion

Not necessarily. In the sense that everyday more things are revealed through science that were previously credited to one god or another.
But not in the sense that even though sciene explains much more than religion does, there are still too many scary zealots that choose to believe in an all-powerful-santa claus-for grown-ups instead of proven facts. Yes, that is SCARY.

It depends on what your religious beliefs are. I am a Christian who doesn't pretend to have all the answers, and feel that science and faith are doing a very good job of supporting one another. I don't take the Bible litterally word for word, because it is not the word of God. It is the words of men who were inspired by their belief in God. And it was assembled by other men who decided what would go into it, based on what they believed about God. I believe that when my life has run it's course on Earth, all my questions will be answered, and they will all make sense.

What if it were, and people continued to believe? Scary thought, huh.
I think "prove" is too strong a word, though. Instead, it should be said that, "More and more convincing arguments against aspects of mainstream religions are being presented as time goes on."

No.
So far no scientist or science itself has actually proven religion incorrect. It has offered evidence, but the evidence can be easily interpreted into different points of view.

if by religion ,you mean the bible,no. however someones interpretation of it ,yes. the book was designed to teach us forever at different levels of mental evolution. for example advanced scientists from the first decade AD would no have understood genetics and if the book had tried to explain it ,would discourage non scientists from reading it further

Religion was never proven to begin with. Science is fact and truth, proven with physical evidence by educated people. Religion is based on faith and on a book. Be smart, don't be a weak religious follower.
