i find that i am no longer attracted to this section. Why is that? i used to spend hours here, now it seems like it has lost it's appeal. Why?

I've been a bit disenchanted of late, also. I don't mind opposing viewpoints if they can be presented with decency and respect....that seems to be wanting in this forum.
There seems to be too many people that just come here to make immature wisecracks and/or insult, belittle or otherwise tear-down the person, not just the idea. Ideas are fair game; but, personal attacks (calling people stupid, idiot, moron etc) are unwarranted.
I enjoy a civil, rational, well put together debate; but, the sophomoric comments by some need to go. If this doesn't apply to you (anyone), please take no offense. It is geared toward those (they know who they are) that can't show an ounce of civility or respect...and expect people to believe the same as they just because THEY said it and/or THEY believe it.
I have a feeling you come here the same reason I do, to help others that want REAL answers. No matter what your beliefs, I do sincerely wish you well.

Probably because it's the same types of questions over and over, and sometimes it seems like there's no "real" questions. I took a long break from it and then came back. While I don't spend as much time here as I used to, I still enjoy it in small doses.

Same old questions day after day. Half are trolls just messing around. Some people are not open minded and don't really want to learn. And there is a war here most of the time, getting hotter and hotter and not worth the time and risk. I am really going to try to give it up. It is a sick addiction.

Because everyone keeps reporting others and people keep getting account deleted and some are so tired of the hate and hypocrisy that they dont come back.......I'm starting to feel the same way as you
