I was about dead, called out to HIM and HE answered.
I know HE is Real.

My god, or gods change pretty often. Right now I am pretty much into a nature god thing. Not the god we have created in our own image. Something far more knowing and understandable. I used to like the idea that whatever you believe in happens to you. Kind of a dimensional thing. Then there is the idea that our lives are a kind of continuous loop. We are living forever in this type of video which is always playing. Before that at some time I believed that the Christian god was real. Then I studied the history of Christianity and decided I wanted no part of a faith that has used and manipulated its followers in such amazingly evil ways.

I believe, and because of what He has done for me and shown me. I was a skeptic for a long time and asked questions and such and usually won those little "duels of wit" as I called them. Finally I had someone who couldn't beat me hand me the book and say "I know your answer is in the book of John, but I don't remember it myself. Here you go, read the book and you will find it." I couldn't very well say "No way, you lost." and not accept the book and read it for myself, I after all DID ask the question and I at least could find the answer if he knew where it was...it was the honorable thing to do in my opinion. So I did. I returned with more questions then he could answer, and he pointed to where I could find them as best he could. In the search of the answers, I learned a lot more along the way. It wasn't until I read several of the gospels that I noticed a common theme of the end times. I asked where I could find more and was lead to Daniel and Revelation.
What I read in those books shocked me. It showed me the world I was living in. I read the nations would call for the destruction of Israel, and not a week later Iran publicly said so! You can imagine how that would have affected me. Iran has repeated that call several times, with all the other things I read and learned I became more convinced. I reread the gospels and took to heart what was said there and went to the local church where I knew a good pastor taught named Greg Laury (spelling? lol). It was that day I accepted the Lord after the message presented hit home on my heart, and I could not deny what I felt, what I read, and what I saw with my own eyes.

I do. Because one time at band camp... No seriously-
A few Examples:
I was a non believer and on my way to commit suicide when I received a sign from God. I didn't become a follower at that point. That actually happened about 10 years later. I did become a believer then.
Later I had many other things happen that led me to God.
The most awesome moment was at my baptism. He was with me. It was the most awesome experience ever.
Another time- Was when my marriage was going bad I was crying myself to sleep every night. One night I pleaded for Jesus to hold me and comfort me. He did. I felt this awesome comfort and warmth come over me. He held me as I fell asleep.
Time and Time again God has been there for me. Literally. It is something I have experienced and can not deny.
That is why.

I believe for 2 reasons:
1. I have seen Him work in my personal life in ways that cannot be explained in any other way.
2. I look at the world around me. The more you study the world around you, the more you realize that their is no way that it could have all "just happened". It was very well planned, and that takes a God to do this.

I believe in God. Mainly because I find it easier to accept that our world and the most beautiful places in it, such as Yosemite National Park, could never have been created by some kind of ACCIDENT. There are many other reasons I believe, but that one is the biggie for me.

I believe partly because I was raised by people who do. However, I've done my fair share of questioning. There have been too many incidences in my life that show me that my belief is right. I don't expect anyone else to believe on that, but that's why I believe.

I believe in God and I do so because of faith. Because Jesus Christ died for my sins in the cross and because God adopted me as his child. He is the best that has ever happened to me!! You should believe too you know...

Because evolution, to me, is rubbish.
I've actually questioned my faith loads of times; but I still have faith. Because all my questions are answered reasonably.
And because I love God, Jesus Christ, and the late Pope John Paul II.

Sorry no, but wow what a response. Yes is easy but why.
No real answers, the closest to an answer is someone who thinks evolution is in someway connected with accidents. PLEASE the ignorance is embarrassing. Read more, try to find out about science. They should read 'Unweaving the rainbow' read books that explain the world is FAR from an accident. Your answers illustrate why atheists cannot respect your reasons...you have nothing to respect.
