What most people who think they were cheated had happen is this.

They enlisted for a particular job that had a enlistment bonus.

Then they failed to pass the training school.

The military only guarantees you a slot in the training school, they cannot guarantee that you have the ability to pass the school.

Usually you are given three chances to pass the instructional block you failed. But they are not going to give you three chances at every instructional block.

IE: when I went to Missile Systems School, we had 13 instructional blocks.

Alot of people failed block 5, and had to take it over again.

But if you failed block 5 twice and passed the third time, you would need to make it to atleast block 9 before failing again.

If you had turned around and failed block 6 after failing block 5 three times, they would have washed you out.

.
Now when you washout of a training school, you are then given a choice from a list of jobs the AF needs to fill .

Usually it is jobs that have thier training on the same base.

.
Since you didn't pass your school, you will not be paid the enlistment bonus for that job, and you will not receive any bonus for the 2nd school you were assigned to either.

Having once lost out on a "promised" re-enlistment bonus, I will tell you that it is not REALLY cheating if the enlistee does not read and fully understand the fine print. I once lost my final instalment of a bonus because in the end, the numbers didn't jive. I'd been in too long to collect. I tired petitioning, but even that was shot down. I would not say I'd been cheated, just mislead by a young pencil pusher who himself didn't really understand the fine print. It was a case of the blind leading the blind.

NO. If its in your contract it is guaranteed to you. Now you may not get as much as you want when you want but you will get it usually after your MOS school aka AIT for the Army

People get whats in their contract but of course you have to pass your job training and just do well adn not get into any trouble and you will be fine!

Good luck
though if ur joining for the bonus please dont. I hate those Army guys who only talk about the CASH

its annoying

If it is physically written in your contract they can't cheat you our of anything. If you signed a contract that didn't have it written on it, you cheated yourself. Sorry, those are the facts.

If it's in their contract, they will get it. Usually after the first year they've been in.
