Just try to work the words "statutory rape" into whatever you are talking to them about.

Be as polite as possible (with customers...) and try to laugh the first "hit" off. If it continues, excuse yourself politely and get your manager (not the one in training)...explain to your manager what the situation is, and surely they will escort you back to the hostess stand and create an entirely new scenario for the customer...
As far as the "new manager" goes, I would bring that to the attention to the upper managerial staff immediately. The fortunate thing is, there are many restaurants and if it appears that this one will not work out, give 1 week notice and scoot onto bigger and better things where you are more comfortable.
And I agree that you should not wear anything too provocative or revealing, dress ladylike and conservative (but not boring...LOL)

Definitely examine whether anything she does/says/wears is unintentionally provocative. After that, with customers you have to kind of make it a joke, like "what would I tell my BF?" or "they make me take a pay cut for every date I get at work".
As for the coworker, this is making her uncomfortable, that is called sexual harassment and it is illegal. Most places of business will not tolerate any hint of it, so she should talk to the coworker first, tactfully, but make it clear that further comments will result in a formal complaint to management. It's possible the guy doesn't realize he's being offensive or will be afraid and back off.

Er, regarding some of these answers...
I worked in the service business, it was my first line of work. Do NOT do anything to make customers feel uncomfortable. Say a bunch of guys are a little tipsy of course ones gonna be like "Hey baby how bout we go out sometime?" Come on, thats just innocent drunk fun. Just smile and say sorry I don't think you're my type ;). If you can't do that, you shouldn't be in this line of work.
As for tha manager-in-training, if it gets to a point where hes disrupting your work just report him.

take in in stride if it gets too bad ask that person to back off and if the person does become your manager take it above there head that is your right if you feel uncomfortable that is you legal right to fight it you wont loose your job if anything the other person will if it doesn't stop.now if it is a customer well that is a little tricky but I suppose it depends on the situation but for the most part take it as it is i'm sure they don't mean anything by it just don't give out your phone # or anything.one other way that worked for me to get people to back off tell them your engaged.

She should tell them she doesn't believe in sex....lol
But seriously as far as the coworkers go, she should just say, I don't believe dating in the workplace is wise.
The customers, she should shrug off and reference her boyfriend no matter what the come on.
Customer: You're very beautiful you wanna go out sometime
Hostess: Thanks, that's what my boyfriend says, and I don't think he'd approve of me going out with you....:)
Of course with a friendly smile...
