You might. Insurance companies like to know if there are not just other drivers around, but anyone who MIGHT have the potential for driving your car sometime.

I don't think the insurance company will care where the second driver lives. They will probably still charge more, because they will be providing more coverage than they would for one individual. Call around to different insurance companies or get estimates on-line. Some companies charge a lot more for insurance than others. Just check their track record and make sure they make good on claims before signing up with them. Let me warn you though. If the second driver is a male under 25, expect to pay dearly for their coverage. Unfortunately, this demographic doesn't seem to have a very good record when it comes to the proper care and handling of an automobile.

if they have over 3 yrs experience and a clean record, no. it doesnt matter how many people are on the policy, it depends on experience and drivers records. as for a male under 25 as previously stated..thats NOT true. that is really old school and its not like that anymore
