Although many today refer to the Sabbath as Sunday, the Sabbath of the Bible was on Saturday. Even though many think of Sunday as the weekend, most modern calendars show Sunday to be the first day of the week. In the Old Testament, the Jews were commanded to rest on the Sabbath. Since Christians are not under the law we are not commanded to keep it. Jesus Healed on the sabbath.Luke 6:2-5 And some of the Pharisees said to them, "Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?" But Jesus answering them said, "Have you not even read this, what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he went into the house of God, took and ate the showbread, and also gave some to those with him, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat?" And He said to them, "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath."

I never saw the logic in that whole "keep the Sabbath holy" thing ....I believe it's a personal preference. I don't work on Sundays, I use Sunday as a day to go to church and spend time with my family, but that's my choice and I'm in a position to where I don't have to work on the weekends. There are some people in this world who HAVE to work on Sundays because their job requires it. It's kind of silly to classify someone as a sinner because they have to earn a living...

There's no sin in working on Sunday, no. Only in the Old Testament (or if you choose to try to live under the OT laws) were they required to observe the sabbath. In the New Testament (Dispensation of Grace) we are to "esteem every day alike". Work on Sunday if you must. But live your life for Him Monday through Saturday as well. Those who insist that we are to keep the sabbath are not quite up to speed. Or they are Jewish. If that's the case then a whole different set of rules apply.

No.
Christ is the sabbath that we are to get our rest from now.
It's a good idea to have a day off; but, through the grace of God you are freed from the LAW of the Sabbath.
If you are a Christian you are no longer required to keep a sabbath day..that was a work of the law...Christ is the Sabbath now..even the Lord of the Sabbath...many older folks just call Sunday their meeting day...this Sunday sabbath stuff is just silly...if we were required to keep a sabbath, it would be Saturday...or more correctly Friday evening to Saturday evening...the Hebrew day began at evening and ended the next evening
Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
Mar 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
work six days and take a day off...as YOU need it...doesn't have to be Saturday or Sunday..Christ gave us the liberty, by His Grace, to do so....
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

It is supposed to be a day of rest. The Mosaic Law lays out all the rules for what is forbidden on the Sabbath. Work does not just mean the work you are getting paid for but includes all kinds of work. For instance, preparing food is forbidden because you must work to prepare your meals. According to the Law, any work--like preparing food--must be done the day before. Saturday is the preparation day for the Sabbath so people are supposed to spend the whole day doing things like preparing their meals for the next day and anything else that they can't do on the Sabbath because work is involved.
Many of the things people do on the Sabbath are forbidden under the Law. Mowing lawns, doing yard work, shopping, preparing meals, doing laundry, homework, cleaning the house, etc. All sins.

It is not a sin to work on Sundays. God ask us to take a day of rest just as he did when he created the world. It doesn't have to be on Sundays but Christians chose that day to rest and go to church and worship God.

It depends. For those in occupations such as police, fire, medics, hospital staff, etc...who work a rotating off-day shift and they are required to work on a Sunday...and it is to serve other people in ways those and similar occupations do... No, it is acceptable.
To put in extra time at the office to simply make more money...that is a very bad thing.
For a Catholic to miss Sunday Mass for something as trivial as fishing on the lake, or simply putting in OT for money, is considered a Mortal Sin. Sunday is God's Day and we owe Him our adoration and worship.

Jesus said that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
Also, historically speaking, the day we call the Sabbath - Sunday - is not the historical Sabbath, which I believe was Saturday.
The Old Testament basically says that one day in seven you should rest.
God bless.
