Everyone has pretty much nailed down that you can keep bananas in the fridge, etc.
But I know your situation..... they ripen super quickly, no matter what....depending on the weather (when it's warmer) - may not even last a day.
If your daughter likes bananas this much, you can also cut them up into a fruit salad which helps preserve them even longer in the fridge.... my mother used to make a fruit salad when I was a child - with sliced peaches, pears, apples, bananas and tossed in some grapes.
She would cover it with vanilla yogurt (as the dressing) with some lemon juice..... something with the acid (either the lactic acid from the yogurt and/or the citric acid from the squeeze of lemon juice) - would extend the life of an already ripened banana, about 5 more days cut up in this salad in the fridge..... so if you do what the others have said, and you think you're running out of time even after refrigerating the bananas - know if you do this recipe above, you can get yet, another 5 days out of it!
:)

Normally if you put the banana in the fridge when it is not ripe only the skin will turn black...but the banana should stay fresh and COLD ; ) But I am not sure how much longer you would like a banana to last....I don't think it will last you more than a week in the fridge. Although personally I have not tried it for more than a week. My kids loved it too when they were young. Good luck ; )

how much do u buy in one go? it is better to buy the not too ripe ones and definitely with intact skin with out any cuts ans tears .
dont keep them in fridge,,just keep them in plain open air without any covering (the moment u cover them they start turning bad).they will remain good for a week or even more and will steadily keep turning sweeter and sweeter in taste. inaddition to yr daughter u yrself will love those sweet sweet bananas.u will discover huge difference between the tastes of refrigerated bananas and the' left in open air ones'
my practical experience.

THe fridge thing'll work..but put it in some kind of sealed container or else everything will start getting banana flavored (it sounds interesting at first, but trust me it's nasty). Even if you put it in a sealed container outside of the fridge that should work pretty well too.

Yes, if you wrap the bananas in a tea towel in the fridge they won't go black and will last a lot longer.

You can keep bananas in the fridge. The flesh will be fine, but the peel will turn black.
