I'm looking to buy a new SUV or Truck. What make a model would be best in regards to MPG. Gas is way too expensive. Thanks in advance!

Best bang for your SUV $$$$ is the Ford Hybrid Escape!
AND it has the largest federal tax incentive of ANY hybrid on the market

I had one as a demo & I DOUBLED my mpg's vs the non-hybrid version!

(i am a little biased) honda as an overall line has the best mpg's among all other competitors. the 2X4 pilot (i have one and love it) has a control in the engine to switch between 3 cyls and 6 cyls to help reduce gas. the crv and the element are great smaller suv's and the ridgeline for a truck is reasonable. also they take regular unleaded, which saves you money over luxury cars that need 91

I like ETHOL's choice, the Escape hybrid is the best of both worlds... but there are compromises in towing and off road capability.

I like the chevy colorado pick-up with the I-5 engine. It doesn't get the milliage that the 4 cyl S-10's do, but it's not as bad as the 4.3L V-6's were.

The Honda SUV's are good too...

I would say a Honda Pilot or Ridgeline depending on what you are planning to use your car for. Toyota is always another good option. I drove a Toyota Highlander to hit the ski slopes and got an average 24 mpg which is pretty good. Rav4 has 30 mpg EPA estimates for their inline-4 2wd... Your best bet is the Japanese cars because they are simply smarter when it comes to energy efficient vehicles.

Good luck!
