Who could possibly be better to protect our borders? No one!! It would be wonderful to have our good men and women back home. We must not forget the Navy. It is obvious that the Coast Guard cannot protect FLA. from the drug imports or the Cubans and Haitians coming here illegally. God Bless Our Troops!

I am for bringing the troops home from Iraq. However, those who have had to fight for their lives in that country should not have to stand duty any longer. Those who have not seen combat could very well serve some time on the borders to keep the terrorists out as well as the illegals who come uninvited to our country. We all worry about the border with Mexico, what about the border with Canada? Do you really think that Canada is looking out for our interests? Sure they like us alright but if there are terrorists in their country I'll bet they won't keep them from leaving for America!

Definitely, bring them all home put them in the border where we really need them. The Illegal invasion needs to stop once and for all, It is getting to be very annoying, bring all our troops and station them along the Mexican border and Canadian as well just in case this is the United States Of America, not the United States of Mother Theresa, we should not be liable for every countries mistakes.

are you able to purely end and use some common sense for a minute? From conflict?.....specific carry maximum of them homestead. yet do you have any thought why we've troops stationed at different bases foreign places?.....think of approximately it for a minute......ok you waiting? If we or our allies are attacked, we've the capacity to take care of from a closer place to the enemy than attempting to take care of with ALL our troops right here interior the states. for this reason i can not help Ron Paul except he wins the nomination.

The Iraq war must be completely stopped because Saddam Hussien was already executed. It is now time to withdraw the troops in Iraq and station them at the borders to prevent the entry of terrorists who can sow violence in the US heartland.

Lets see: 4 years of war and 3000 americans killed, in those 4 years americans have murdered almost 70,000 of each other at home.
First: leave the soldiers in Iraq, they are safer there.
Second: if you bring home the soldiers , station them on every street corner in every major city. Maybe then will the mass slaughter at home stop.

If the reason to bring our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan is to station them on our borders, then no. The distance of the border runs respectively 1,254 miles, and it would be impossible to have our troops to "catch" illegal immigrant.
We don't need more troops to protect our borders; we need a better policy between the nations.

Pulling duty at the border is not reward for putting your life on the line for us back home. One thing America can do to thank our fighting men and women is to do what it takes to keep this land sovereign.

The first, yes, not the second.
More troops on the borders is not the issue. We need to do a better job at picking and choosing who we are giving Visas to. People who have been here since they were 1 or 2 and have caused NO trouble can't get them, terrorists CAN.
