It's just embarrassing. Even St. Augustine who lived more than a thousand years ago said hey man don't take that book super-literally or you'll make our faith look stupid.

Because they are not smart enough to recognize the level of their own stupidity. Evolution has been established science for a century and is now proven fact, but creationists, having made up their tiny minds, prefer not to be annoyed by anything as inconvenient as a fact.

If you truly study creationist theories, they are far more scientific and believable than evolution.
Still, science immediately discounts God out of hand, and therefore few ever really understand what they are so against.
From my perspective, evolution is absurd and unproven. Those that profess it without seriously considering alternatives are narrow-minded.

Actually, it's the least simple explanation. That a magic sky daddy did everything, contrary to all evidence....that is far more confusing than evolution.
But ignorant people don't know that because of their preconceived notions.

Jesus confirmed the Old Testament. And it is God's eyewitness account on what happened in the beginning. If it is not, then that was was not a big deal to Jesus. So it is not to me either.I know God made this universe. The Bible in my hands is my Lord talking to me...
