Don't jump to conclusions when you are ignorant of the facts. You might want to research just exactly what the "Wiccan" beliefs are - it has NOTHING to do with the devil.

Wicca is a participatory revelation, a celebratory action leading to greater understanding of oneself and the universe.

The code of the Wiccan is: "If it harm none, do what you will" - These eight words are indeed very simple and direct: You are free to exercise your will as long as no one is harmed.

"As it is consistent with the values and beliefs of our religion, the Covenant affirms our belief in the spiritual and social wisdom of peace in the world. We aspire to stand in fellowship with the peoples of all religions, cultures and ethnicities in our shared desire for peace. We do this for the sake of our shared love of the Earth and all living things that dwell upon it."

Merry Be!

first of all leave your friend alone the more you push him the more he will rebel by staying wicca. on the off chance he is serious about this religion and studing it, it has nothing to do with being gothic, then what right do you have to tell him he isn't allowed to beleive this way? does he tell you you can't believe in god? their is no devil in the craft we don't even believe in the devil or hell. we beleive that we are responsible for our own actions and noone is sitting behind the sences making us do things like a puppet on a string. in other words leave him alone

Don't worry, he is concerned that you are following your religion as well. Leave him alone and allow him to have his own beliefs. Stop trying to force your beliefs on him. And what proof do you have that it is the work of the devil and not the work of some God? If your God created everything, including all time, then your God would have known this was going to happen and was OK with it, so you should be as well.

Keep praying and assure him that you care for him and don't preach but find times to have conversations with him and remind him that Jesus died on the cross so that he can spend eternity in heaven with his Creator. Worship the creator not the created which is what Wicca is (pagan). He's looking for something to fill some gap in his life...pray and fast...give up chocolate until he comes back, fast something until God answers your prayer and find a good man of God to tell these things to and please don't use the Lords name like that...ouch...Good luck and God Bless!

Don't Panic.

42.

Kidding.

All you can do is pray for him. It is a choice each person has to make, and we all have people we know who do not accept what they hear. I am the only member of my family who believes what they see. The rest of my family is agnostic and until the tribulation begins, they will not believe. This is dangerous because if they do not come to believe before the "plagues" begin, they can die before they make the choice and be condemed for being late. While the thought of this is heartbreaking to me, I also relize and warned them it might be that way. They let me speak only because of who I was, so I told them what to watch for and what to do when those things happened. It won't be until those things happen the way I told them that they finally see, you may have to do the same with your brother.

How Christian can you be, if taking the Lord's name in Vain, and NOT EVEN being able to properly spell your Saviour's name?

Religion is a personal choice. You chose yours, now let him choose his.

I don't really know, although I do admire goths a little bit.. He has his own free will... But if it really troubles you, though, talk with him, and know more about his ideas and decisions... But you really can't force him into not be a wiccan... You really can't do anything about it...

Sorry if I wasn't any help...

For starters, please don't use the Lord's Name in vain as an exclaimation. As to your brother, it's not the end of the world. You can pray for him and you should. You can join with others who will commit to faithfully pray for him. You say you've already tried to talk to him but don't give up. Be sure to back up anything you say with the scripture......there is power in the Word and God promises It will not return to him void. Are your parents Christian? Seek their help or your pastor's, or the youth director (they usually have more experience with this). Also, many kids get into the gothic scene as a fad and really don't get into black arts at all. They are immature in the faith and really aren't "religiously" involved, but even so, place themselves in danger of the wicked one.
Be aware that it may take years to pray him out of this. Are you in for the long hall? Be persistant and don't give up. Do not be afraid, God is not the author of fear. Be confident in the Lord and thank Him for what He is going to do in your brother's life. Stay at peace knowing it is not the Father's will that anyone should perish. Many of us are in the same situation....some loved one is out of the circle of God's family and we yearn for them to come within. The power to draw him/them in lies with God and the Holy Spirit. I pray your brother will see Jesus and come to Him. I pray for your heart as you petition on his behalf. God bless you for loving your brother enough to care.

I'm sorry you are unable to find it in yourself to respect your brother's choices and the Gods forbid even offer him your love and support in whatever he decides to do, even if you disagree with it.
