There is, but try not to capitalize it, it makes us look like a religion.
The argument is usually, "You must know the entire universe to say there is no god. You must say instead you believe there is no god. Therefore, you are agnostic."
You can respond by saying "I haven't searched every body of water, but I do not believe in mermaids."

That's what some Christians say because they can't comprehend that there are people out there who don't share their beliefs in a deity. They just CAN'T wrap their brains around it, so they just deny that it's possible. Then they go and tell each other that there's no such thing as atheists, and that all atheists will suddenly turn to God in times of trouble, or on their deathbed. Those things that they say have no basis in fact or reality. They just like to tell each other those things so they can pat themselves on the back and feel superior.

Everyone has "belief" in something and though many reject the idea of it, many "idolize" at least one thing in life. Atheist don't believe in God they say but still fall into this catagory, if even by belief in themselves. Another which makes no sense is the many who call themselves 'atheists' who defend their stance with the fervor of a religion, to explain their lack of belief in the spirit world. Of what "benefit" since religions of the world have existed for "thousands" of years and have never listened to the unbeliever, so has it ever help ANYONE of disbelief when they vent their convictions? Look around at ALL the religions of the world and tell me if atheism has not been a LOST cause..............

I heard that there is no such thing as an Atheist in foxholes.
But its just a quip. People even in the most extreme situations have known to simply rely on self.

Let's see... the sky's blue, and Darwin's got a book called Origin of Species... So I'm guessing yes, there is such thing as an atheist.

I think the saying is there is no such thing as an atheist in a fox hole. Maybe that is what they meant.

Well don't pay them any mind whatsoever. They are just saying that to annoy you simply because they know that Atheists don't believe in God so that's that person's lame attempt to say that they don't believe in the existence of Atheists.
