no, not at all. God is omnipresent( he's everywhere) so you don't have to be in a church to talk to Him. You can be anywhere at any time. It's always good to go to church, but you should pray with God wherever you go.

when the Church is used in the bible, God is calling you, his Church, the body of Christ, your the temple of God, you should be called the house of prayer. Only thouse who obey God, will God hear, but you can talk to God anytime, his line is opened 24/7, He says, call, and I will answer, seek and you will find, knock and it will be open to you. Your call, opens the windows of Heaven, Your voice.

First, there is importance in gathering with others. Hebrews 10:25 (NIV, "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
That said, Christ tells us in Matthew 6:6(NIV), "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. "
We're also told by Christ in Matthew 18:20(NIV), "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
So, I think there should be a time for personal communion with God and a time of fellowship in Christ.

No you don't. You can talk to God anytime HIS line is never busy. Plus you don't have to worry about long distant phone calls oh and if you talk to him and sing him songs n stuff he'll show up in your room. We go church my friend because the bible says that we ought not to forsake the fellowship of our brethren and we go to get the word of GOD so that we can grow.

God only hears the sincere prayers of His people... those who have come to Him in The Way He prescribes.... for those who have done so there is no need to be in a church to pray... God is with His people wherever they are.
