The 144,000 mentioned in the Revelation of John are Jews who come to faith in Christ during the Tribulation. They are 12,000 from the various tribes of Israel.

The passage following speaks of so many believers that cannot be counted.

As it is written: "After these things I looked, and there was a large crowd that no one was able to count! They were from every nation, tribe, people, and language. They were standing in front of the throne and the lamb and were wearing white robes, with palm branches in their hands. They cried out in a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the lamb!" (Revelation 7:9-10)

You are talking about the 144,000 Jews in Revelations. That number is only a specified number of Jews who will preach the Gospel to the rest of the world. I used to think that was all the people who were going to be saved after the rapture but thank God I was wrong. I think in different verses the bible is trying to say everyone will be saved eventually. Like in First Timothy 4:10 it says God is the savior of all men, specially those that believe.

If you're thinking of the number 144,000, those are not people who will be saved. That number is the number of JEWISH MALES who will go out to evangelize the world.
There is NO number in the Bible counting those who will be saved.
Read Revelation (no 's') 14: 1 - 5; Revelation 7:4 - 8. Revelation 7:9 says the number of saved people that NO ONE COULD COUNT. And verse 14 tells WHO those saved people are... those who 'HAVE COME OUT OF THE TRIBULATION.'
So there IS NO NUMBER as to how many will be saved.
Know your scriptures PROPERLY and don't listen to the cultists. You've been listening to the Jehovah's Witness and their nonsense. They even believe Jesus USED TO BE Michael the Arch Angel..a CREATED being...before the Heavenly Father turned Michael into 'a god.'

Actually, it doesn't. It says they will be uncountable there will be so many. What you are talking about is the 144,000 who will be marked by God to spread the gospel on the earth during the tribulation. These 144,000 will have the help of the 2 "lamp stands" or prophets as you could call them. Those 2 will be killed of course once their time is up, and lay in the street for 3 days, while the world has a party because they are dead. In the middle of the party in front of the entire world, they will rise to heaven. So revelation says if I remember it correctly.

Back to your question, the 144,000 are "teachers" of jewish decent. They are set aside for God to use during the tribulation to spread the word of the Lord to the entire world. During this time, EVERY person will hear, and you will have many things happening to back it up. Such as fire, hale, and blood all falling from the sky at the same time, burning 1/3 of all the trees on the planet and all the green grass. Sadly, many people will not survive this time period. Revelation tells us that only 25% of the worlds population will make it to the end of the tribulation if I remember right. I don't remember the exact math on it, so don't quote me. If you really want to know, I would suggest reading it yourself. :)

The 144,000 Jews / Israelites who are sealed in Revelation 7:4-8 are sealed for the specific purpose of being “evangelists” during the Tribulation period. The sealing provides protection from the plagues and devastation brought on by the trumpet and bowl judgments, as well as from the wrath of the Antichrist. The 144,000 is not a limit to how many people will be saved, but rather is just a select group of Jewish believers called to proclaim God’s message during the end times. There will be perhaps millions of other converts during the Tribulation, most of them a result of the 144,000’s ministry.

The Bible does not give that number but it does say that it is an extremely large crowd. The saved are not to be confused with the 144,000, which is a subset of the saved.

The Bible states that all who believe in Jesus shall be saved. This means that anyone who accepts Jesus as their savior will be saved. The Bible does not put a limit on the number of people :)

Some believers claim only 144,000 will be saved, however they forget to consider all the other texts etc. Only God knows who will be saved and how many. The main thing is to take the opportunity to develop that special relationship with Christ and get away fromas much of the hateful goings on in the world.
All those who want to be saved, if they truly love Jesus and tryly follow and obey Him..WILL BE SAVED.

All are saved but the goats, Satan, Gog and Magog which are as many as the sands on a sea, and even in the imperfections of sin in this life, that this is after the 1000 year reign of Christ for Gog and Magog, it is beyond my imagination, because all that are lost have only self to blame, every opportunity has been aloted every one, God, Jesus or no angel or person can be to blame for any one LOST.

144,000 is the number I think you are looking for, but it's not really the number of all the people that will be saved, a lot of people (Mormons) get that all mixed up. 144,000 is the number of Jews that will convert and be saved and preach the gospel during the very last days before Jesus' 2nd coming.
